Not complicated
Easy to use, it took a few attempts to realize you put the bead on first slide it down and insert a small section of hair all the way through the thread loop (half a dime size) at least for straight hair. Then pull up the bead close to your root I left half an inch from root for flexibility to change hair styles. Then I inserted the feather into the bead+hair and crimped.

This does a good job to set this up. I hope this one is stronger than my last one I got from someone else, the wire pulled out of the handle.
