Solid feathers have one base color. Grizzly feathers have natural dark stripes over a base color. Rainbow and tie-dye feathers combine colors along the feather for a bolder look. Natural variations make each feather unique.

Yes. Silicone-lined attachment beads hold the feathers and a small section of hair together. Start with our DIY installation guide and follow the instructions carefully. A stylist can also help you choose the placement and secure the bead.

You will need your feathers, silicone-lined attachment beads, a loop tool and suitable extension pliers to close the bead. Our DIY kit includes beads, a loop tool and instructions. Feathers and pliers are not included in the kit.

No. Our bead installation method secures the feathers with a silicone-lined attachment bead, without bonding glue.

With gentle care, the feathers can last for months. Wear time varies with your hair, installation, styling and daily care. As your hair grows, the attachment may need to be moved up; the feathers can be removed and reused.

Use suitable extension pliers to gently open the attachment bead, then slide it off without pulling your hair or feathers. Follow the removal instructions in the DIY guide, or ask a stylist to help. Reinstall with a fresh bead for the next placement.

Yes. Our real feather extensions can be washed, blow-dried, curled and straightened with your hair. Handle them gently, avoid pulling at the attachment, and use only the heat needed for your style.

Support the hair near the attachment as you brush, work through tangles gently, and avoid snagging the bead or feather tips. Be careful when removing hair ties, too.

Our hand-dyed colors are made for long-lasting wear, but color can change with time and care. Repeated exposure to chlorine, salt water and harsh products may cause fading. Rinse gently after swimming.

Yes. Keep your hair loosely tied back if needed and avoid tight styles that pull at the attachment. A smooth pillowcase can help reduce friction.

To preserve the feather colors, keep hair dye and bleach away from them. Removing the feathers before a color service is the simplest way to keep the products off them. Ask your stylist to help with removal and reinstallation.

Yes, but choose the closest suitable length first so you can keep the natural tapered tips. If shortening is needed, trim from the top before installation. See the sizing guide for help choosing a length.

Orders typically ship within 1–2 business days. Custom, made-to-order or hand-dyed items may take longer. Standard US delivery is typically estimated at 3–7 business days after shipping; carrier delays can occur. See our shipping policy for details.

International shipping is available when offered at checkout for your destination. The available services, rates and delivery estimates appear there. Some economy international services may not include tracking. Customs processing can add time.

Inspect your order on arrival and email Info@feathermyhead.com within 3 days of delivery. Include your order number, clear photos and a brief description of the issue. Save the packaging if it is damaged. We will review the claim under our refund policy.
